This describes exactly what the app does with your information. It is written to be read, not to be survived.
What we collect
- Account: your email address and a hashed password. We never store your password itself.
- Profile: your name, date of birth, gender, who you want to be matched with, city, bio, an optional photo URL, and your interest tags.
- Quiz answers: your answers to the resonance questions. These are the core of matching.
- Activity: when you last used the app, your match decisions, and the messages you send within a connected match.
What your matches see
Your name, age, gender, city, bio, photo and interests. Nothing else. Your email address is never shown to another user, and neither are your individual quiz answers — only the compatibility score derived from them. Your accept-or-pass decision is never revealed unless you both say yes.
Who else sees it
- Our hosting and database provider, which stores the data on our behalf.
- Anthropic, but only where an AI-written match note is enabled. In that case we send the two first names, the numeric score, and the short list of dimensions you aligned on. We do not send your email, your messages, your bio, your photo, or your individual quiz answers.
We do not sell your data, and we do not run advertising or third-party tracking pixels.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account exists. Delete your account and we remove your profile, quiz answers and messages. We keep a record of which pairs have already been proposed, so that a pairing you passed on is never proposed to that person again.
Your choices
- Pause matching at any time from your profile, without deleting anything.
- Edit or clear your profile fields and interests whenever you like.
- Request a copy of your data, or its deletion, by emailing hello@slinedating.com.
