Safety

What the design already does

• Nobody can message you unless you both accepted the match. There is no way to be contacted by a stranger.
• Nobody can browse you. There is no searchable directory, so you can’t be found, filtered for, or repeatedly viewed.
• Your email is never shown to another user, and your pass is never revealed.
• A pair is never proposed twice, so someone you passed on cannot come back around.

Meeting someone

• Meet somewhere public the first time, and get yourself there and back.
• Tell a friend where you’re going and when you expect to be done.
• Keep the conversation in the app until you’re comfortable moving it.
• Trust the feeling that something is off. You never owe anyone a second meeting.

If something goes wrong

Email hello@slinedating.com with what happened, and we’ll read it ourselves. If you are in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.

In-app reporting and blocking are not built yet. Until they are, reports come to us by email and are handled by hand — worth knowing before you open this to the public.
